I think Indy reporter Matthew Frank hit the nail on the head when he described our world as “expanding and contracting with the seasons” in this weeks “Up Front” column in the Independent. Thanks to Frank and Chad Harder we got a chance to share a little about the less glamorous side of making maps- and the little world of our office. Check it out!
Good stuff! Looking forward to the release of the Rattlesnake / Missoula map
I enjoyed reading the article on the work you are doing. I am happy to hear of such high caliber cartographic work being done independently in Montana. I have a degree in Geography from very earliest days of GIS, and long before GPS. There were no GIS classes available then and the software was brand new. I worked mainly from Arial Photography and Landsat/SPOT imagery.
Keep up the good work!
